Carnival Destiny 2/26/06

Anyone been on this ship or going on this cruise? Looking for what to do in Dominica and Barbados. Any ideas?

Not much longer now!!!!

In Dominica, we're going to check out Champagne Bay for snorkling. I believe we will be there on the final day of Carnival. I'm not sure that that will entail.

We're planning some golf for Barbados.

You traveling as a couple or as a family? We enjoy snorkeling, but I think we may check out the "river tubing" in Dominica and go to boatyard beach in Barbados...........Cant wait!!!

Traveling as a family - Mom/Dad and two kids (15 and 10).

What's boatyard beach? We still have some timeto fill in Barbados. My daughter has offered to caddy in exchange for beach time after the round.

Hello familyfromvt, Carnival in Dominica is a lovely affair, and it being the last day you get to see the T-shirt bands parade the streets jumping and dancing to lively music. They take a break and then take to the streets later in the day for what they call 'last lap' jump up.

It is usually fun to watch, and i have actually seen cruise ship passengers shake a leg a time or two.
