That depends on what you are looking for. Both are beautiful. St. Thomas is a little more commercial and St. John is more natural. A very large portion of St. John is natural forest. My suggestion would be to do both. St. John is a short ferry ride from St. Thomas.

If you want to spend the time going over to St. Johns, I think its worth it, absolutely beautiful island. Just save some time for shopping in St. Thomas.

i totally agree ladies!
You can do both - get over to St. John in the morning, spend a few hours on the beach, do some snorkeling. It is gorgeous. You can choose to take the ferry back to either Red Hook or into downtown Charlotte Amalie- main shopping district. go to www.vinow.com for beach info & ferry schedules.
If you want to stay on St. Thomas proper i would suggest Sapphire Beach, very pretty beach. Just grab a cab at the pier.
If you want to sight-see St. Thomas - hire a cab for a couple hours to tour the island.

Hi arie,

Unfortunately, the times of the tours aren't usually posted, as you've seen! Generally, the longer the tour, the earlier it leaves, but not always.

Maybe someone who has been recently has an idea about the times.

Since you'll be in St. Thomas all day (7 A.M. until 5 P.M.), I think you'll be able to do your tour and see St. Thomas, too.

Have a wonderful cruise!
