we're going on valor to roatan, leaving miami on 4/30. we have an excursion booked for the morning but nothing in the afternoon. we're not really beach/snorkeling people but prefer to actually DO or SEE something we can't find here in chicago. any suggestions?
Life isn't measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

We went to Roatan on the Valor in January. Definitley a very nice port despite the level of poverty. The locals seemed like kind people, who were available to show us around. Had a very pleasant time.
The best thing mainly is -> you are the only ship there =] (less busy)

We're doing a land based all inclusive at Fantasy Island in Roatan for 7 days. We leave end of May. Did you have a bad time with bugs at the beach?
There are two other islands besides Roatan. The third little island is called Guanaja. Just off the coast of this island is a village if you can call it that, that is built on a coral reef. Very unique. There is absolutely no land and you can go from walkway to walkway thru buildings.
If you get a chance look into it. It's worth the trip and it's not far.
