Default CocoCay - What to do?

Hi everyone. I am more of an active traveler (I cant really just lay on the beach for hours, although I wish I could!) The itinerary I am looking at has a stop in CocoCay. What is there to do there? I have read its a good place to snorkel, but are their snorkeling groups, or is it more like you just rent the equipment and you are on your own.

Am I just going to need to learn to lay around and be happy about it that day if I pick this itinerary?

Thanks for any information.

C

We did the parasailing and the snorkeling. For the parasailing you need to pick a time. The excursion last about 1-1.5 hours but you are only in the air for 20-30 minutes. They give you the snorkel equipment to use on your own for the day. We had a great time there.

[size=19]The snorkeling is actually pretty good there, yes, you can rent the equipment and they require that you wear the life vest, but you can adjust it as you need to. I understand they also offer the waverunner excursion which we did in Labadee, it was a gas, although expensive, but worth the money.

They will also have a nice BBQ lunch in several locations, so be sure to get something to eat. There will be RCCL workers on the island as well, if you need to order drinks, etc...then you can use your sign/sail card.[/sieze]

Highly recommend the jet skiing excursion, but take note, it's not a free for all. You go in groups spaced about 100 yds apart to different stopping points and learn about that particular area. No getting off the ski at any time, unless you fall off of course which has not happened on the past two tours i was on.

My uncle did the kayak adventure, which is nice when it's not windy out because it's hard to kayak when the water is choppy. My cousins did the snorkeling and loved it. The lifeguards throw food into the water which attracts tons of fish for you to swim through, take pictures of, etc.

Cococay is my favorite stop!
