Straw Market - Nassau

Hi everyone. I have been reading that if you like shopping, you have to visit the Straw Market in Nassau, so I will definetely add that to my plans! Can you walk from the Dock to the Market or do I need to catch a bus or taxi?

Very very very short walk. Its right by the ship and next to Senor Frog's. We brought some cute things in the Straw Market. Make sure that you're open to being approached every second by someone wanting you to look at their goods. Knowing this in advance let us enjoy the experience. Also, make sure you barter because no matter what you see, it can be found throughout the market.

Uh oh.. I just found a site that says that the Market is only open until October, but the rest of the sites dont say anything about it being closed. I will be there in December. Does anyone know if the Market is open year-round?

I have been there in Nov and it was open. Lots of fun if you like to bargain shop. If they say $10 you can talk them down to atleast 6 maybe 5. Happy shopping

We were there in January.
