Default Buck Island?

Have been to St. Thomas many times - never to Buck Island. Thinking of trying it out - any comments on it? Are there facilities there? Do they have a nice beach (I don't like rocky beach - sandy for me). Hubby loves to snorkel and I hear its good there - I prefer sandy beach time, with a chair, etc.

Buck Island is a bird sanctuary and you cannot get on the island. If you could you would find that it is all rock. However, the snorkeling there is quite good but you enter and exit the water from a boat - no going ashore. It's a nice sailboat ride out to the island as well. We liked this enough to have done it twice.
