I was there last May, the beach was nice but the water was filthy and smelled like raw sewage, don't know what happened, there were no storms prior to our arrival that would have stirred up the water. We only stayed 1/2 hour or so then went back to the ship. Our taxi driver attempted to persuade us to try another beach but we had heard so many good things about Paradise Beach that we didn't listen, maybe he knew about the dirty water. The shoreline has lots of rocks so wear water shoes if you go there, the few people who were going into the filthy water were falling and tripping on the rocks and an elderly couple climbed out of the water on their hands and knees.
I was there this year and did not find it to be at all like the previous poster.
It was clean as you could expect after a hurricane. I am not going there in August but only because I am going to try something different. I would go back again.
I was at Paradise Beach in March and it was absolutely wonderful! The water was clear and the beach was great. It is free to enter and all they want you to do is purchase some drinks or food. The waiters will come to your loungechairs and you can be waited on all day while you enjoy the beach. If you go, ask to meet Paradise Tom. He is a very nice man from the states (or Canada) can't remember, and he will make sure that you are very well taken care of. They have a pier out over the ocean, water sports of all sorts, great food, and clean restrooms. I cant wait to go back on my next trip to Cozumel!
Just got back from a trip on the Carnival Conquest. We went to Paradise Beach and had a blast. My kids loved it! It was a bit crowded, but there was plenty of room. We didn't even wear our water shoes. Only one area that I saw had rocks, and it was easily avoided.
I was there in May and it was beautiful. Food, drinks, service were great and water was perfect. Climbed the big ice cube and played on the trampoline. Had a blast. I will be there again week after next.
