Default Tours in Belize and Costa Maya

we are going to be going to Belize and Costa Maya (Majhual) in December and I was wondering if there is a tour group you could recommend, or one that you know is bad. There is a tour group called Costa Maya tours or something and they offer tours for both which saves me time and they seem fairly reasonable. I am a little worried on the Belize tour 6.5-7.5 hours for Lamanai. Our cruise is the Grand Princess Dec 16-23. I read a post from a lady that got taken by one in Belize, but can't find her post now. Please help!!

If you're planning a tour that takes that long in Belize I would book through the ship. If you just want to go to Majahual for the day to go to the beach, you can take a taxi there for about $3 each way. If you're planning to do an inland tour there, again, for this port, I would book through the ship. It may cost a bit more, but if there are any problems you know they'll take care of you.

I use a service in Belize. I think you can find it by searching for Nacho & Cynthia?
Nacho is a good guide who will be reasonable, informative and reliable.
I have his address if you e-mail me.

we booked through carnival for both of these ports. we did the kohunlich ruins tour (i don't know if i'd do it again but i don't regret going at all!) in costa maya. it was a 7 1/2 hour excursion and i was afraid of booking on my own in case we didn't make it back in time.

we did the land rover/cave exploration tour in belize. we had a GREAT time with that one and i'd recommend it to anyone! belize was probably the most beautiful place we visited on that cruise. hope this helps!
