I'm taking my mom, my niece (18 yrs. old) and her best friend to Bermuda next week. I've been to Bermuda twice and loved strolling through St. George and Hamilton. The last cruise we docked overnight in King's Wharf - we did some shopping and spent a day in Snorkel Park - so we've already seen that area.
Besides Horseshoe Bay, Elbow Beach & Tobacco Bay, has anyone been to other beaches that were good for swimming and snorkeling...we'd love to do something different on this trip.
If you have any other suggestions please let me know....THANKS!!
Since most of the stores are closed on Front Street,. although somebody told me one block up there are lots of shops ...you will have fun in the Dockyard.. Cripes..I have been cruising to Bermuda just as they started on the Dockyard and on the outside as you get off the ferry are all sorts of craft booths and inside all sorts of shops.. including an ice cream store and of course the Frog and Onion to have lunch
TRUE, many of the stores have gone out of business and new office buildings. I'm sure the old Bluck's is still there, the Irish Linen shop and a few more... We will be there in three weeks... On the positive side there is now a Heritage Museum in St. George.
