Default seven mile beach grand cayman

If I take a taxi from the cruise dock to seven mile beach where is the best place for the taxi to drop us off at. We would need to be near restroom facilities and be able to rent lounge chairs.

Any help would be appreciated.

evie,

The taxis usually drop passengers at a beach club that rents lockers and lounge chairs and that also provides restrooms for its customers. The other option is to purchase a day package from one of the hotels, which your cruise line may offer as an excursion.

We went to Sea Grape Beach. It has everything you need - food, drinks, bathrooms, lockers, chair and umbrella rentals, jet ski rentals, etc. We had a great time there.

I wouldn't bother with a tour package. Walk off the ship and great shopping. Take a taxi to Sea Grape. The best beach ever in my opinion.
Taxi's are plentyfull at the cruise terminal and at the beach so easy to get back and forth.

arwenmark - Yes!

canny1 - Gotta take a taxi. I don't remember exactly how far it is by taxi, but waaaay too far to walk. You will pass many hotels along the way (they will be on the left hand side of the road) before you get to Sea Grape Beach. Besides this gives you a chance to see a little bit of the island B4 you go do your beach thing. You might do a search on this board (also on the "other board" as well) for pictures. Somebody posted pics, but don't remember the poster's name or even if it was on this particular board. But great info - the pics even showed prices of the rental fees, types of beer available at the bar, menu prices, all kinds of good stuff. IMHO you can't go wrong with Sea Grape Beach. Enjoy!!

Does the taxi leave you there and come back when you request him to or do you just grab another taxi when you are ready to return to the ship?

So you go back with the same taxi or does it really matter? You're saying that the taxi that drops me off sits there all day waiting?

No, they don't sit around waiting for you. Taxis are everywhere. Besides, they know when you're due back on the ship. All you have to do is walk to where they dropped you off at the beach entrance and taxis will be lined up to take you back to the pier.
