Hi Eric,a little bit late to answer, but when are you planning to go to Martinique?Wich informartions do you need to know?I can help you .
Since december,Carnival is no longer going there, royal caribbean as well.It s a shame! cause it s a nice place to visit.Another part of France in the caribbean with its own identity and culture.

Hi
We were in Martinique in late November-like the 30th-. I really enjoyed Fort du France, the Capital. We did a walking tour of the city booked through the cruise ship-Carnival Legend. Our guides, Maurice and David were great. However, I don't know the name of the company for which they work. I could almost say the Chamber of Commerce!! I'm glad we took a video of our time there and also appeared on the official ship DVD,since just saw the post about Carnival no longer going there.

Default Martinique Carnival

Hi lynne, thank you for the message.I m glad you enjoyed your day at fort de france.A lot of people say that there s the language barier but a there s people who speak english in Martinique,in the shops ,the guides etc...Ok there s a lot to do to offer more to the visitors, but Carnival just stopped going there ,there was rumour that Royal Caribbean might go back ,but no,They said they won t go back, because it s not safe.I m sorry but I have been to ochos rios it s the note a safe place at all compare to Saint thomas(I love saint thomas). So now i m not sure but it s only ocean village and another cruise line who stop in Martinique.Shame!
