Default Barbados: best snorkel, beaches, sightseeing?

Can anyone tell me of a good place to snorkel on Barbados? Also wanting to enjoy beaches and other beauties of the island. All suggestions appreciated! Thanx!

For beaches and snorkeling, there's a catamaran tour that includes lunch as well as snorkeling and swimming at a great beach that's never crowded (and might not be accessible from the land side).

For sightseeing, though, you'll have to do a shore excursion on land. I highly recommend the tour that combines a visit to Orchid World with tea at Sunbury Plantation, if your cruise line offers it.

And unfortuntely the scheduling probably will not allow you to do both of these tours.

Norm.

Thanks Norm! I was hoping to find some places to snorkel on our own. This is one port we are planning on not booking an excursion through the cruise line. We are sailing Crown Princess Southern Carribean 01/27/07.

Hi

We went to Malibu beach. The sand and water were amazing. There were plenty of vendors there that would take you out to see the turtles and go snorkling as well as water sports. It had showers, changing rooms, stuff to eat and you could take a tour of the Malibu Rum plant. I really enjoyed my time there. Very relaxing and only 10 minutes from the pier via taxi.

Dina,
I love the idea of the sea turtles. Can we snorkel with them? What does it usually cost to have the locals show you where to go to do this?
