We will traveling to Antigua in March 2007 - we have been there before and gone to Dickenson Beach - it was nice but we would like something less crowded but with some amenties - ie. somewhere to get a drink. We have read about Darkwood Beach, Long Beach and Jolly Beach - any ideas?
We were in Antigua and trying to avoid rain storms by the ship docking and driver pointed -across da island it is sunny - he was right. He took us to Long Beach- wonderful, sandy and secluded. I also heard as you faced water there was snorkeling on the right.
There was a restaurant right on beach-but may have belonged to a hotel, we did not check it out. There was chair and umbrella rentals.
I have read on our next cruise roll call some people are arranging for a day pass at: The Grand Pineapple Beach by Occidental - check that out, same beach, but an inclusive resort I believe.
