Default Carnival Triumph

We are looking at going on a cruise to Half moon cay, St. Thomas, San Juan and the grand Turk aboard Carnival Triumph in July. Is there a better side of the ship to be on when coming into port at these locations? We have not booked the cabin yet and thought there might be a good reason to be on one side of the ship. It is the first time in the Eastern Carribean.
Thank you for any help.

It doesn't matter which side of the ship you are on. You will see the same sights coming or going. There is no way to know how the ship is going to enter and dock at the ports.

On every cruise I did the ship dock portside. Some places I saw ships docked starboard it was because of the pier. Mateli

One more question. Are there certain floors to avoid getting a cabin on the Triumph??

To choose a particular deck on a ship, study the deck plan. If you go to bed early, try to avoid a cabin directly above or under a noisy late night public area, such as a disco. If you like to sleep late, you might want to avoid a cabin directly under a pool area where deck attendants will be setting out the loungers in the early am. A deck sandwiched between two decks of staterooms is usually more quiet.

If you are prone to seasickness, choose a lower deck. The higher decks will experience more movement.

Did you do the Grand Turk, HMC, San Juan and St Thomas? If so any recommendations for the tours? Carnival has yet to post the available tours for our sailing in 64 days. I am getting excited to go but upset at the lack of organization Carnival has shown in changing the itinerary.

I happen to like the starboard side (right) of the ship.
In the mid section between decks.
Some peple like the very aft staterooms (rear end), but I think it has to much vibration and is to far to walk.
We will be on the Triumph in May at the same ports. Please write your review. I will be curious to know what your experience was.
