Has anyone done this or know if getting a horse and carriage tour is possible in San Juan? I am taking my mother on this trip and she can't walk for miles on end and I would love a tour of the city done this way. If anyone could help, that would be great.
HI Sassifraz, the horse and carriage ride place is located in front of pier #1.
They have a short middle and long ride, the short one is about $35 per couple and ??? $$ extra for additional information.
If that doesnt work would you consider a drive around old San Juan.
We used Tito at firstname.lastname@example.org he is a local certified tour guide that knows his stuff, checking him out and have a great cruise
Tour #1 is about 20 minutes long. It goes through town and passes things like the City Hall, Plaza de Armas and Fortaleza (the Governorís Mansion). The cost for this tour is $40/couple, and each additional person is $15.
Tour #2 about 30 minutes long. It goes past the Capitol building, San Cristobal Fort and Plaza Colon. The cost for this tour is $50/couple, and each additional person is $15.
Tour #3 is a combination of the other two tours. It is about 45 minutes long. The cost for this tour is $75/couple, and each additional person is $15.
You can contact the Caribbean Carriage Corporation at 787-397-1747 for more information.
I just want to add that we have taken those carriage rides twice and we loved the experience.
