Half Moon cay, Bahamas

I will in Half Moon cay on Sept 16 and I want to know if there are lockers or a place where you can safely store your valuables if I decide to go for a dip in ye olde Caribbean Sea. I am travelling alone, so no one with me to watch my beach bag and such if I want to go for a swim...

I may have posted this elsewhere, or with another post, but I can`t find it...alas, too much to remember!

I was reading a web page about it and it says there is a marketplace to buy stuff, so I thought I'd bring some money to buy some straw handicrafts.

I honestly think if you do go swimming and have to leave your beach bag on shore, you will have met someone or will be sitting next to someone and they can watch your stuff. Remember MOST everyone is in the same boat(no pun intended). They all have their cameras, some cash, watches and such...all sitting on the beach in a bag. So I guess, I just trusted people.
I didnt' bring all my money, nor did I leave too much on the beach. My bag was always in sight and I just had fun swimming.

Hmm, maybe I will lock everything up in the ships safe and just bring what I need--cameras, sail n sign, beach towel and lotion...

I am going to try and find a waterproof fanny pack or pack so I can know it is safe...

I am looing so forward to the beach..I can just feel my skin sizzling already...*BG* That reminds me to buy some burnt skin lotion *BG*

If I recall correctly you can put all purchases at HMC on your Sail and Sign card. Its an island built and owned by Carnival. So you probably won't need money with you. When we ordered drinks on the beach we just gave the waiter our S&S card. Also lunch on the island is included.

Honestly the market there is pretty blah. I didn't feel like it was authentic (if that makes sense) and felt like it was too contrived.

Other than the disappointment of the straw market area, its a beautiful place and one of the most peaceful places I have ever experienced. I am sure you will LOVE it. =)
