Default Osprey beach on Grand Turk?

Anyone ever visited Osprey beach on Grand Turk? If so, is there snorkel equipment for rent and how far from the ship pier?

We are trying to decide between Governor's Beach and Osprey. We want to snorkel.

Thanks!

dorothy,

You beat me to it.

I'm also wondering about Horseshoe Reef. Can we get there from any of the beaches or do we need to book the excursion with ship?

Rent a Jeep or a motorcycle at Grand Turk.
The island is very small, you can drive from one end to the othe ris about 10 minutes, extremely friendly people.
Cost for 1 day is like $55 for the Jeep and $40 for the motorcycle. You can rent these at the passenger terminal, there is a general information booth, tell them what you want to do and they will call the guy (I seem to rememebr hsi name was William) on his cell phone. Nice friendly fellow, if oyu rent the motorcycle he will also allow you to take it for a short spin without any obligation to rent, just to make sure you feel comfortable riding it.
Don't miss the lighthouse/musuem at the far northwest corner of the island. And yes, you can go swimming snorkeling all over the place, beautiful clean crystal clear waters.
