San Juan with royal caribbean

Going on a Royal Caribbean cruise in March to San Juan. Does anyone know what port the ship docks in. Also any suggestions on what to do there. Also any beaches near the port. Hows the shopping. Are we better off shopping in St Thomas or St. Martin?

there are two port areas. Serenade and Adventure usually stop at the Pan-American tour.
Freedom, Explorer, Navidator dock in old san Juan.
Neither have beaches at a short walking distance but do have neare by.

Hi Silver,
I believe you will dock in Old San Juan. I would do the shopping in either St. Thomas or St. Maarten, not the greatest shopping in San Juan, at least no good deals there. There aren't any beaches near the port, that would require a taxi ride or an excursion. You can walk around town, visit El Morro or the Rum Factory.

Yep, I've see Mariner in the Old San Juan dock.
