Thanksgiving Day in St Thomas

Hi All,
Am on the Caribbean Princess in St Thomas Thanksgiving Day and am wondering what the shopping will be like. Does everything close down or is it just another day?

I have a feeling the shops will be open as usual. Thanksgiving, as far as I know is a US holiday, not observed around the globe.

Once there are ships in town the shops will be open. There are shops in the Havensite area where most of the cruise ship docks. There are shops in the down town area known as Charlotte Amalie and there are very few shops at the second dock in Crown Bay.

Would this be in the same St. Thomas United States Virgin Islands ? If so....
