Tender ports

My sister is really worried about tender ports as she has really bad knees. We are going on the Legend in April. Our stops will be Cozemel, Roatan Island, Grand Cayman and Belize.

Was there a question in there?

All could be tender ports but Crand Cayman & Belize are for sure.
Depends on how many ships are in Cozumel you may get to dock

Depends on how bad her knees are there is some movement when getting from the platform to the tender but the crew will help get you on/off

If the water is rough, they will cancel the tender ports, so they will not endanger the passengers if its not safe. I've missed a port or two for that very reason.

Hi Tigercat,

When we were in Grand Cayman there was a lady using a wheelchair and (with help) she managed to get on an off the tender with no issues. This might put your sisters mind at rest.

RE: Tender Ports

Tendering may occur in Cozumel depending on the amount of cruise ships present that day. However, it is highly unlikely you will be tendering there. That circumstance also goes for Roatan. I believe there is still only one or two docks for cruise ships. When I sailed on the NCL Wind back in 2004, we originally docked, later our ship left the dock and anchored outside of the port so that the pier could accommodate the NCL Sea. We had to take one of the ship's own tenders to get back to the ship. But, no matter how many ships are anchored in either Grand Cayman or Belize , tendering is the only way to get from the ship to the dock.
