Which is better, Paradise Beach or Playamia Beach Club?
We will be on the Carnival Liberty 6/21 and we want to do a beach day in Cozumel. The Carnival Website has an excursion for Playamia but not Paradise Beach.
We are a family of 5, 3 kids, 15, 12 & 9. The kids want the water trampoline, toys etc, adults want to relax in the sun/water and have some nice tropical drinks, maybe some lunch.
I have read some reviews and looked at some pictures, Paradise seems nicer. Since Carnival does not have an excursion there, can we just take a cab there? Anyone know the admission fees?
Paradise Beach is nice, Playa Mia is just around the corner. Playa Mia is where the Carnival beach break goes, this beach club may offers a larger variety of floats and activities...you can visit their website for more information. Good luck!
Paradise Beach was a blast! We have kids that are 11, 13, and 15. They loved it there...there was snorkling, kayaking, trampoling and climbing wall in the water. The food there was great, free chairs and umbrellas. There is also the bar Carlos and Charlies right next door which was alot of fun!
Both are fine. Playa Mia was in the process of enlarging its facilities when we were there last June.

Whic beach is better for the kids? Our youngest is 9, I have read about the water trampoline and iceberg climber being to far out for the youner kids to swim to without getting tired.
I read that playmia has loung chairs crowded togehter and not comfortable.
Which beach club is more relaxing with a nice beach, not to rocky or to deep for the kids.
Playa Mia may offers a greater choice in terms of activities, floats, non and motorized watersports...basically unbeatable. But, yes it can be crowded but not necessarily, whenever there are more than 4 ships in port...pretty much each beach gets crowded a little, one needs to take this into account. Sanchos is not bad eve though it is not one of the most recommendable, you will find many taxi drivers that will recommend this club but just because they receive a comission for bringing people there. Carlos and Charlies (new) beach club is right next to San Francicso Beach and Paradise Beach, so basicaly same beach quality. However it needs to be said that the concept of Carlos and Charlies is more focused on teenagers and party chasers...may not be the most recommendable for families or people with younger kids. You can check the beaches websites for more information...good luck!
We stopped in Cozumel last year and went to Paradise Beach after doing some research. It wasn't that crowded. Playa is going to be more crowded because the ships have excursions going there. I hear it's a party type beach. The trambiline and rock didn't seem that far out. From what I just read, life vests for the kids is included in the $10 activity fee. The chairs and umbrella are free but there was a $10pp food/drink requirement. We got two drinks and chips and salsa. The chips and salsa has to be one of the best we have ever had! The beach was beautiful! I highly recommend it!
