Default Nassau excursions??

Heading to Nassau in March on cruise and looking for an excursion for a family of 5. We all luv the water, and luv to snorkle.
In the past, i have booked seperate from cruise and saved quite a bit of money and had great experiences. Been to Nassau before, but just hung out in city. Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I'd take the kids over to Paradise Island and see Atlantis and the aquarium/dig, its well worth seeing. You can take a cab or the water taxi over, its not too far from the pier and do the tour.

Default We saw the Atlantis, liked it but was overpriced

WE spent $54 a piece to see the Atlantis. We walked to a boat who took us to Paradise Island and was met by a representative of the Hotel who gave us a one hour tour. She was kind of unfriendly and was very scripted, no pleasantries or small talk allowed. After that we could look around on our own. Other than the nice pool and fish, it seemed like a Las Vegas resort hotel. I do not think it was worth the money.

Default Nassau Snorkeling

We really enjoyed the Nassau Power Snorkelingand Clear Kayak Tour the snorkeling was excellent. Personally I didn't do the power snorkeling, I just snorkeled normally and to be honest I don't think the little machines are necessary if you can swim:-) the Clear kayaks were really neat too. You can see right through them into the water.

I guess we didnt know it was that expensive to see the dig. But It does sound like a must see. I am still checking into doing it on our own. But either way I think its still worth going to see. from what Ihave heard anyway. Happy cruising...

Can you go to the Atlantis and buy tickets for the tour that same day or do you need to book ahead? We haven't decided if we want to do it yet.
