Default Key West - Hemmingway House Question

Is the Hemmingway House within walking distance of the port?

And...we will be traveling with our 8 year old daughter - will she be bored to death by the tour of the house?

in Key West, you are not allowed to walk from the ship as it is in military base; so a trolley takes you to Mallory Square; it is a long walk, but a very interesting walk, if you stroll, sight see and take your time. if your 8 year old daughter likes cats she will like the Hemingway house, I saw other kids there and there were in awe of these special toed cats. however with an 8 year old; your best bet is to buy a trolley ticket (there are hop on & hop off trolleys that will ease up the walking so you are not stuck with a tired 8 year old); that way you can see the lighthouse and southern most point etc

I stand correct ; I forgot about that dock, as I haven't had the luck of the draw to be fortunate to dock there; always get docked at the one at the other end ...

from Mallory Square the Hemingway house is about 10 city blocks from Mallory Square

Key West is so small you can't compare blocks as in New-York City.By looking around while walking you will be there faster. Nice day, MTL

Yes - your 8 yr old MAY be bored by this tour. Except for the 6 toed cats.

By all means go, and take your 8 year old. Visiting historic places like this is one of my fondest memories for which I am thankful to my parents.
