Is there a place to Jet Ski in St. Maarten?

Oops, I also posted this in all things cruising by mistake.

Does anyone know if there are any beaches in St. Maarten that offer jet skiing? My husband and I are going there in May on the Liberty of the Seas and would love to try it!!!

There sure is...There is a beach right at the pier in town to the left and they rent jet skis.

We took a taxi and the short ferry ride over to Pinel Island and they had jet skis to rent there. Nice little island to visit, nice beach and swimming, too.

Just returned and yup - they found jet skis.

When you leave the pier, take the water taxi over. When you exit the water taxi stand, you will see a little beach to your left.

There are great bars/restaurants along the strip. They were running beer/chair specials (4 beers/2 chairs and an umbrella for $20).

Husband took the kids on a 30 minute jet ski ride and paid $50. Was great.

Thanks for the info chefkel! But where do you take the water taxi to? Are you talking about a tender to the island??

When the ship pulls into port, it will dock at the main dock. You can either walk the 1+ mile into town or you can go to the end of the pier, round the slight bend and take a water taxi.

The water taxi is like a tender but for a $6 per person fee you can ride her back and forth all day to the pier.

Once you take the water taxi to the main stop (you will see everyone getting off and milling around) there is a beach just to your left. That is a great spot.
