Default best place to shop southern carribean

I will be going to the following islands in July:

Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, and St. Kitts.

Can anyone rank these islands as far a shopping goes? Also, are any of these islands bad places to shop. Thanks very much.

Whatever floats her boat..pardon the pun...

San Juan has nice shops on Forteleza Street. Prices will be higher than in..

St. Thomas, which is overwhelming with shops..perfume, leather, jewelry, linens, so much to choose from!!

Dominica has really no shopping to speak of..save youe money for other ports.

Barbados has many of the shops that SJ, and ST. T has..they are all over the Carib, and in these shops, prices will be the same. The shopping area here, has a more urban feel than other islands.

If you are looking for a newly launched perfume, you will not find it..They don't release the new perfumes in thwe Caribbean for I think it's 6 months, it might be even longer.

The other ports youmentioned, I have not visited yet...Happy Sales!

All I want is a couple of jars of banana preserves which I got in St. Thomas a few years back.

Triminghams, a big store in Bermuda has closed. I know this was a big draw there. Shopping there, from what I have heard, is expensive. I would love to have Bermuda on my itinerary, as a day stop.

St. Thomas on the other hand is a shoppers paradise..The ability to haggle is there, with so many shops to choose from, you can shop all day!

As Trip said Trimminghams has closed which p'ed me off greatly as that was always a must stop in Bermuda. In Barbados a store I have always liked is Cave Shepherd near the Careenage (unless that has closed?) A nice place! The rest of the islands are about the same with Martinique being a disappointment.

St. Thomas for jewelry. Go see Anita at Beverly's in the downtown area. They offer great discounts on some very nice baubbles. On a recent trip to St. Thomas, I taught a 15 yo the fine art of negotiation. I figured if his parents took him out of school for a vacation, why not teach him something that will be useful in life.

I may find a deal on the cruise, but I can always plan to spend at least twice what the cruise costs me on my baubbles. That's what makes cruising so much fun! That's my point of view, not my DH's.
