Default How hot in the bahamas in August???

We booked a cruise on the Sky for August 25th... and we live in PA near Allentown and it gets sooo hot and humid here that I was thinking we'd be able to handle a cruise in August...it's cheaper then, but now I'm wondering how my youngest would do in the heat! He'll be 14 months old.

I have no idea how well your child would do, but it can get very hot that time of year. In the 90's with high humidity. That said, I am from St. Louis, which is worse in August than any tropical port I've ever been to. So, probably fine if you just use the same common sense you would use at home, i.e. stay hydrated, keep out of the sun as much as possible, use sunblock anyway, etc. It also depends on what you plan to do there. I would not recommend a beach day! The biggest difference will be how fast you may get sunburned.
Hope this helps.

I was in St Maarten on a Labor Day, and had the hottest day ever! I would suggest taking a small thermal container and put some ice cubes and some face cloths in a baggy, so you can refresh the baby, also some small bottles of water. Make sure his/her head is covered, and is loaded with sunscreen....all things, you already know:)

The humidity will also be high. There are always nice breezes, so you may not notice the heat as bad, but yes, it will be very warm.
