Default Carnival's Destiny and Grand Turk Island

Is anyone been on Carnival's Destiny ship? How is it? Also, I have heard there is not much to do on Grand Turk Island, any suggestions would be helpful. Anybody going on the cruise on November 17 for 5 nights to Nassau, Grand Turk, and Carnival's private beach?

Well, I found that on Grand Turk Island deep sea fishing is very popular. So I think that is what I am planning on doing. And a little snorkeling in Nassau. They have the most beautiful waters.

Just returned from our cruise although we sailed the Miracle not the Destiny. I have to tell you that I loved the island. I found it to be very pristine and not developed which I thought was wonderful. As soon as you leave the ship, there is a beach with chairs and a shopping area with a Margartiavile. My 10 year old son and I love the beach experience. We grabbed a taxi to Pillory Beach ($14). It was breathtaking (much better than Coki Beach in St Thomas). We had almost the whole beach to ourselves (in the morning I counted 8 of us on the beach). It is a small resort with dive site, a beach front restuarant (by far the best fresh fish sandwich I've ever had), hammocks, 2 dogs and a cat. Great snorkeling. Calm waves. The taxi driver came back to get us and stopped on the way back at some colorful gift "shacks". Loved it.
