Default TAXI OR TRANSFER FROM FLL TO MIAMI

We will be arrivng in FLL the day before the cruise that sails out of Miami. Trying to figure out to take a taxi or Carnival transfer. Transfer is $48 per person round trip. Any suggestions which is the best way to go. We would have to go back to the airport the day of sailing to get the transfer is that a problem?

Depends on where you are spending the night... If it's near the airport and you don't want to deal w. a rental car, and have a few people, you may want to do the cab. We did the same thing in May and flew into FLL the day before. We ended up renting a car bc it was cheaper to stay away from the airport and we were able to drop it off w/i a few blocks of the Miami cruise terminal... I think it was AVIS- but check w. the rental car comp to make sure they have a downtown drop- it's well worth the extra $$$. If you have several people the rental car will more than pay for itself and you'll avoid being stuck having to stay near the FLL airport the night you come in.
Also- the cab ride from the rental place was $8 and we shared w/ 3 other people that were doing the same thing. You can walk it, but only if you don't have bags!
Hope that helps.
