best beaches st kitts and st maarten

st kits, st maarten I am pooking for the best beaches for 6 people. lots of activities and cold coronas for the adults. thanks.

I think your bunch would enjoy Orient beach in St. Maarten, lots of activities, bars, restaurants and water sports as well. You can grab a cab and there are cabs waiting there for the return trip to the pier.

In St. Kitts, there is Turtle beach. Its quite a ways from the dock, but a nice scenic ride and lots of cruise passengers end up there, lovely beach with monkeys around :-)

Donna: What does a typical round trip cab fare cost to Orient Beach - 4 adults? Thinking about renting a car for the day - any recommendations? We were on the island for a week about 6 years ago & rented a car. Not sure whether to rent or cab just for the day. Thanks

Hi Normor,
I don't recall the exact taxi amount, but remember it was per person, so you can get 3-4 people in a cab and share the fare... I seem to recall, at that time, it was around $5 person with 4 people, one way.

Here is another beach, Dawn, to compare with Orient Beach, for services, etc. I have not been to Dawn, but, have been to Orient, and, I was not impressed with the beach itself.

Orient Beach is nice but touristy. If you have children, you might want to know that parts of it are for nudists
