Default Beach bars

Looking for the coolest little beach bars on Aruba, Bonaire, Dominica, Grenada and St. Thomas. Distance from the port and approx. cab fare would be helpful as well. Thanx in advance.

Beach bars are a highlight of our cruises! Good thinking to check them out ahead of time- I've got a few on your list...
St. Thomas- careful there..as mentioned in other posts, outside of Haiti, the crime on St. Thomas is now the worst in the caribbean- don't wander into the housing projects near the port- there is a taxi service (just 1!) that is an open air bus that takes you over the hill to Megan's Bay beach (& bar!!) for $14/each way, plus $6 each to get into the beach park. Pricey, but as mentioned, you don't want to walk around in St. Thomas, despite what you hear (or even remember) about the shopping. It's changed, unfortunately, for the worst. The bar at Megan's is one of the prettiest settings in the islands, drinks are good & food is safe. Alternatively, you can ferry to St. Johns & check that out, several beach bars there in an even prettier, cleaner setting, but the ferry is a bit of a hassle, & after stepping off the ship, getting on another boat isn't high on most people's lists!
Grenada- nothing there. Stay on the boat, trust me! & we saw all of it. People are friendly. But they'd better be, there is not much else.
Bonaire- nice stop, several perfect beach bars a very short walk south of the ship (away from the shops). Snorkel (or scuba) right from the bar.
Dominica- not sure they have a beach. The organized bike ride down the mountain is cool.
Aruba- some awesome beach bars out to the west at Palm Beach, near the major group of hotels, about a 10-15 minute cab ride..cheap, think it was $8 each way for the whole cab. Where the cab drops you off (a busy alleyway next to the Radisson- follow it straight to the pier- which is one of the best bars on the beach. After a few drinks, try the parasailing- reasonable & well run.
Cheers!!

Welcome to Cruisemates Vrob1! Thanks for the awsome info too. It looks like my girfriend wants to swim with sealions at Coral World on St. Thomas. It's on Coki beach. Does anyone know if there are any nice beach bars there?

I did happen to find a couple of bars on Grenada's Grand Anse beach by digging around online. They are Garfields and Coconuts.

Aruba and Bonaire seem to have plenty to choose from. Dominica on the other hand is a bit more difficult. They do have a few nice beaches, mostly black sand, but not many bars. Picard beach has a few hotels with beach bars.

Thanks again Vrob1.

Default Beach Bars in Grenada

Coconuts is right on Grande Anse beach and is where the water taxis drop you off. Nice, friendly but crowded as it's the main stop. Garfunkels is new and if you're facing the water is to your left. Funky music. Keep walking right to the end of the beach (about 1 mile) and you've got Savvy's which is up a hill and has the best view over the beach and the bay. To your right is a small bar right at the end of the beack called Jenny's place. If you're there on a Sunday the do a cool Jazz session and it's very laid back. In town you have the nutmeg where you can people watch in a lovely breeze whilst overlooking the Carenage.

Otherwise get a taxi (US$20) to the Aquarium, we didn't go but our friends said it was just fantastic.
