Samana; Tortola & St. Thomas
My mom and I are cruising to the ports listed above. She would like to find someone to drive us around St. Thomas (and/or St. John - that's just a ferry ride away, right?) Does anyone have any recommendations? I really don't want to rent a car and do the driving myself.

Also, recommendations for tours in Samana and/or Tortola? I should probably let you know that my mother will be 70 and has some breathing issues so anything that requires a lot of walking won't work. She loves to snorkel though.

It will be our first time in all of these places.

Thanks so much in advance!! :D

Tortola we took the Jitney tour right at the dock it was $20 pp they give you a tour of the island & up the the lookout point.
Your Mom may have a problem climbing the stairs but if so she can still get a great view from the parking area
The tour was about 2+ hours
This is what they look like

In Samana, we went to a straw market, not a tour. It was about a block down the road from the ship. Very friendly people and more true arts and crafts than some of the more developed ports. Just don't let the kids trying to sell you seashells sucker you in. They are actually pickpockets. They look to see where you reach for the $1 for a shell, then a different one will lighten your purse for thoughtful.

There are plenty of cabs in St. Thomas to take you where ever you want to go. There is also some decent shopping right there at the port. Depending on how many ships are in port, the traffic there can get backed up, so just beware.

Our cruise on the Dawn is almost here (we fly to Miami two weeks from today!) Any suggestions for St. John? Mom really wants to go to St.John (even though the ship doesn't stop there but at St. Thomas instead) I read the posts about taking the ferry.
Where are good places to visit on St. John?
A nice place for lunch? Some place fun and not fancy?
Some don't miss places?
Anyone used a specific cab or tour company that you would recommend to show us around the island?

When you get off the ferry in St. JOhn, there will be plenty of cabs to take you to the beaches. I really enjoy Trunk Bay, just an all around beautiful beach area, good snorkeling, etc. Cabs are also there to return you to the ferry.
