My mom and I are going on the Miracle in March....
I have been researching our options for excursions while docked in Limon, Costa Rica. I have had good luck, in the past, booking excursions through independent tour groups....but am finding it harder for this cruise.
I haven't been able to get much feedback on any forum for Costa Rica.
Mom (73 y.o.) and I would like to tour the banana and/or pineapple plantations, but not do the canal (since we plan to do the Panama Canal while docked there). I've discovered Charlie, JJ, Okie Dokie tours, yourluckytours.com....but have only found a little on Okie Dokie...
We had a great day, the lunch on the beach was the best.
He will adjust the tour to do what you want to do.
We did the banana plantation & stopped to see the sloth some kids picked up they provide a Kodak moment for $.
I did the Carnival ship's tour at both ports.
In Limon, I can recomend the " Train Boat, and Train Experience" which included a banana plantation and lots of wildlife ( sloths, monkeys).
In Colon, I did the ship's canal tour. Pricy but worthwhile.
