Hello all...Will be crusing in May and can't wait. This is our second cruise. We will stopping at Half Moon Cay. If there's anyone out there that give me information or post pics, that would be super. Do they offer a bbq lunch on the beach like RC does with their private island Coco Cay?
Hi!!!
It is another island but not so different of what you can have for lunch or what you can do.It ia a beach day so everything is up to you.
Have a nice cruise,
MTL
HMC is sheer paradise. There is a area off the beach where the BBQ is served. There are salads and fruit along with the burgers/dogs. They also have a huge space for people to sit down and eat out of the sun.
You can go to webshots.com and key in half moon cay or hmc & cabanas to view pics people have posted. I was there in Sept 07 and booked another cruise to go back for Sept 08, sadly, a little tropical storm called Ike rorared through our projected path and the Cap't/Carnival decided to take us West...
I'll be back there in Jan 2010!

HMC is a picture postcard paradise, and I am not a beach person so...
We booked the orange cabana, with another couple. This cabana is right by the food pavillion, and rest rooms.
The water, the sand, the atmosphere, was for me, the best of all the private islands......

This is my favorite private island, much clearer then Princess Cay or Coco Cay, and the white sand is so soft. The BBQ is about the same on all of them in my opinion. I think this island makes me choose HAL and Carnival over other cruises sometimes.

How was the orange cabana? I booked one for April 8 cruise to Panama. Is it bad that it's so close to the food pavillion, etc. I wanted one close to everything as I have a 75 year old with me and I didn't want her to have to walk far. Also, is there a cabin boy who brings food, and do you have a choice of what they have ready for you when you arrive? Any info would be appreciated.
