Default Barbados and St. Kitts

Any must see or do things on these two islands?

I thought Barbados was absolutely wonderful. I'd go back there in a heart beat. I went to Harrison's cave and spent the rest of my day at Malibu beach. Both were great. The sand was like powder and the water so blue. Everyone I met was very friendly.

I went to Harrison's cave in Barbados and a good beach, Boatyard beach...The beach is fairly close to the pier, but you'd need a cab to the caves. You can walk to the beach if you want, going through town.

I agree about the boatyard. Great beach! A cool little bar also a rope swing from a pier. Lots of other fun things to do right there or you can just relax. I know they have a website(not sure what it is exactly) if you want to check it out.

For those of you who went to Harrison's Cave could you tell me approximately what the fee for a taxi was from the pier? We'll be visiting next month and we want to go to the cave and then back to the Boatyard to relax.

Thanks Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I'm not sure what day you will be in port but just to give you a heads up. Harrison's Cave is now open only 5 days a week. Wed - Sun. I'm not sure what a cab ride would cost to get there anymore but I remember that it was very affordable and the cab driver waited for us while we were on the tour to take us to our next destination. He was very nice.

Thanks Carolin, we'll be visiting on a Friday, March 20th. We're so excited it's a 14 day cruise on Grand Princess out of Fort Lauderdale. We sailed her about 4 years ago and had a great time.

Thanks for the info.

Debbie

Who ever though this kiddo, would enjoy a cave, but I did..We did it long before they closed for renovations too, so, it must be really super now!! I always wondered, how could you redecorate a cave

http://harrisonscave.com/

Check out an island tour as we did, it included the caves and it was fabulous..the driver was so cordial, and new everything about the island.

I also enjoyed the cave, would love to go back some day and see what all they did to it.
