sand fleas/no-seeums/critters

Last year while visiting Antigua we were inundated with Sand Fleas on the beach, are there also critters we need to be concerned with on Western Carribean beaches. Can I buy eco-friendly insect repellant and sunscreen on the ship as I can't find these products locally. Oklahoma is backwoods!

the only place I have had trouble with bugs is antigua. We went to the western Caribbean last year and didn't have a problem. I have heard that they are bad in the Dominican Republic.

Interestingly enough, you might try looking at Backwoods to see if they sell this product. I believe that they offer it. You can also buy it on the web. Should not have a problem except in Belize with the pests.

Thanks for the advice. I found some eco-friendly bug repellant/sunscreen at academy sports it's called smart shield, if anyone's interested.
