St. Thomas Shopping Hours Info

I emailed the editor at vinow.com, and, got this info on shopping hours for the 3 shopping areas in St Thomas....hope it will help.....

Downtown:

Monday through Saturday, including Holidays: 9am-5pm

*Exception: the stores downtown close for the VI Carnival Children’s and Adult’s Parade which are usually the last Friday and Saturday of April; but sometimes they fall on the first Friday and Saturday of May.

Sunday Hours: While Sunday hours are usually half day, closing time 1pm; there are exceptions created by the number of ships in port. When there are no ships in port, some stores won't open at all. If there are several ships in port some stores might stay open until 3pm.

Havensight:

It depends on whether there are ships in port. If there are then the shops are open and the hours are usually 9am to 5pm. If there is a ship in late then some stores stay open later. If there are no ships then the hours vary by store. For more information:http://havensightmall.com/

Trip, thanks for the port info; will be in St. Thomas next year, and I know my wife will want to shop.

Years ago (like 20), Carnival Ecstasy stopped at a port in St. Thomas which I distinctly remember (but don't know what it was called). What I remember most was that it had a Gucci store. It also had a great perfume shop that helped you pick perfumes based on a a questionaire.

SInce then, I have been to St. Thomas twice, but it has either been different ports, or the Gucci store is gone.

Does anyone know which port has the Gucci store, and is it by chance the same port that Eurodam stops at?

In St. Thomas you port at Havensite, [the main pier]where there is a large shopping area, or at Crowne Bay, the old sub base..which has a smaller shopping area...Downtown had a Gucci store, not sure if it's still there.

Yrs ago, with he old Norway, you had to tender in..I believe you might port at Crowne Bay...we did on the Zuiderdam in 05, anyway.
