We are cruising the Eastern Caribbean in April. Looking at excursions now. I dont see too much comments on Tortola. Any suggestions and sites not to miss. We love beaches. How about A
ntigua? Should we stay to a ship excursion or try something on our own. I am a little leary on all I have heard lately on Antigua?? Any help. Also we come into San Juan at 5pm. We have no idea if any shops will be open or we would love to go to a casino. Any suggestions here. Just looking for help I guess. Any advice would be great. Thanks... Happy cruising..
We took an island tour in Tortola, and ejoyed all the magnicent sights and views. This is a sleepy Caribbean port, so a good port to beach it..Cane Garden Beach is close to the port, and absolutely gorgeous..Also the"Painkiller" is the national drink of Tortola, worth a try...
Antigua is sure getting some bad press lately but there are 365 beaches to choose from..Arrange a tour when you get off the ship....make sure of the pricing, and pick up time.
In San Juan,we once arrived late, but we took an island tour, and so glad we did. The siland at night is like a jewel! You can also eat dinner on or off the ship and head over to the hotel district for gambling and show....Have a ball!
Trip, with her book & tea!

We enjoyed the whole island tour. We booked the tour on line prior to our cruise. It was available on board ship. We were taken to some great shopping areas. I was able to take some outstanding photographs around the Island. Tortola is very "hilly" and this will let you get some great photos.
Also go to "Pusser's Landing", it's a good place to have a meal and an Adult Beverage...Dave & Diane.
We love anything assocated with crusing and traveling. We are retired U.S. Navy...and loving it, "Been there...done that"! (almost).
