Default Sunset Beach Resort Montego Bay

Has anyone been to Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay. Sailing on the Elation (Carnival) 07/2010. Seems nice and affordable. Thanks for your help.

It has been a couple of years since I visited the resort, but the family thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is an older resort, but has had some extensive renovation. The pools and grounds were great. You can lounge on the beach, enjoy a float on the wandering river, there is a sports pool for water volleyball, water falls, slides. Lots of options. The best part is that it is an enclosed environment and there were no vendors to bother you.

I think the main thing at this stop is to plan some kind of activity, as there is nothing there at the port. All, require some kind of transportation, depending on what you want to do while there, beautiful country and worth seeing.

My one trip to this port was very disappointing so, the beach, or getting a day pass to Sandals, is the best way to spend the day.

haven't been there specifically but have friends who have and they totally enjoyed it. We were going to go to Sunset Beach, but after talking to our next door neighbor on board who is a native he steered us to Drs. Cove Beach, and we are so glad that he did. Its a short cab ride, the beach is pretty, not crowded, clean restrooms, restaurant/bar on the beach, all we did was bring our towels & beach bag, plopped ourselves against a giant palm tree and just enjoyed the day, they do have a water trampoline in the bay. Its basically next to Margueritaville

My wife and I and our friends went there a few years ago. As another person mentioned they have been doing some renovations. We found it to be a wonderful place that offers alot for the price. You can actually see the place from the ship.
They have a buffet that is good and a snack bar that offers burgers, hotdogs, and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken is wonderful! The drinks are plentiful and of course the food and drink are included in your price. There were some folks offering massages and our friends purchased those and enjoyed them, but the "massage therapists" asked them for money for various reasons.
I would not hesitate going back there.

If someone can explain to my simple mind how to attach a photo, I will send a few.
