Our cruise ship will be on St Martin in March. Lookin for a beautiful beach were there is plenty of room for walking and where we can rent a jet ski. Any suggestions.
You can grab a cab by the pier and head out to Orient beach. There are bars/restaurants, plenty of lounge chairs, plus parasailing, jet ski's, they have it all. Keep in mind, it is right next to a clothing optional beach, so sometimes they wonder, not a big deal. The beach is big, lovely and beautiful water.
There are also taxi's there waiting to take you back to port.
Or you can just get the water taxi to town & sit on that beach, unadventurous but lots do! I hope you are as lucky as we were & be the only ship in port, to be in port when about six ships are in & one is Allure it can't be fun in town!

I am not an avid beach goer, but, when we go, I like the beach to be a pretty one,and imho, Orient Beach was not pretty....Dawn Beach has more to offer I think....but like food, it's subjective
I searched around a bit and found this, so, maybe not at Dawn Beach.
"Jet Ski Jet Skis and Wave Runners can be rented at several beaches. The most popular locations are Orient Beach (French side) and Great Bay (Philipsburg, Dutch side). Going on a Jet Ski is usually restricted to a zone in view of the beach. On Orient Bay check out Bikini Beach ."
