San Juan

So what's up with San Juan disappearing from various itineraries? I know it used to be a port of call on CCL Freedom's eastern route. But its not there now, and its one of the ports of call I was looking forward to if I end up on that ship.

I saw SJ for 2 dates ...Dec/11 and Jan/12..The Dominican Republic, Tortola and Antigua, seem to be the replacements.

I sailed the Freedom two yrs ago, I think now,and we so enjoyed SJ. I always liked visiting this port of call.

We enjoyed Tortola, though much sleepier than SJ,and, I thought for a while there, Carnival pulled out of Antigua, due to crime, and, some Carnival pax wer jailed, fighting with a taxi driver.

Over the years full days were cut back to half days and many at night stays too. A beautiful city with friendly people, it's too bad it's being given short shrift.

And an extra sea day. I don't mind sea days, but I had liked how things were when there were only 2 sea days spread out. One of the reasons why I didn't feel the need for a veranda on the Freedom.
