Costa Maya tours to Mayan ruins

I seem to remember some input about Mayan ruins from Costa Maya. I've done Tulum and Chichen Itza several times each and would like to see others. Saw one in Belize that was being excavated a few years back. Anyone have any input?

We really enjoyed the Chaccoben ruins. They are not quite up to Tulum. We have never been to Chichen Itza but I think it is something special. Still, Chaccoben was very interesting and well worth a visit.

and they did a terrific job! (Note that the cruise lines try to control Costa Maya and you have to be persistent to get out to the independent van loading area!)

Thanks, Mike. I will always choose seeing something historic over a beach day, which is what I consider Costa Maya to be. Really appreciate the info.

I did Kohlunich with Carnival excellent ruins you can climb! Big Mayan masks make this site unique!
