I was watching a local show last night, Chronicle, and the show was all about St. John, click on the 1st link, if you want to watch....I have never been, and honestly I was in awe. The beaches were stunningly beautiful. Now, I don't snorkel, but, I was interested in Cruise Bay, considering ferrying over to walk around, instead of downtown, for a change. Any opinions?
Looking at these beaches I thought I would ask, what is THE most beautiful beach you have seen? I thought Sapphire Beach in ST T, & Grande Anse Beach in Grenada, were gorgeous.
If you click on the 2nd link, and have the time, and, the inclination, to spend a month in St John, with free accommodations, with just 4 hours a day giving back to the environment, it could be a wonderful experience....You just send in an application, and wait I will be there in March, and I think St John, would be a nice change.
I have been to a few, but I really loved Trunk Bay Beach in St. John's.
Since I live close to Daytona Beach, I must say that is not so bad either.

I would have to say that St. Maarten did have some gorgeous beaches! We also went to a private beach (nude) and it was stunning. The drive to the beach was also amazing I just love being in the Caribbean and can say I haven't met a beach that I didn't like. Grand Cayman and Magen's bay were also awe inspiring.

Golden, if only.....this program is for the lucky ones who have the time, and $$ to go there, and help out the environment. Four hours a day working in paradise sounds good, right?

Trip, you have got to get over to St. John! It is breathtaking. I know you don't snorkel, but the ride from Cruz Bay to any of the beaches in the open-air jitneys provides some beautiful scenery, and they stop for a panoramic view that will totally take your breath away. If you only spend a couple of hours on the beach it is so worth it. There are a few shops on the pier at Cruz Bay, thats about it. Trunk Bay is the most popular, so its the most crowded, and a bit touristy. We love Cinnamon Bay, Honeymoon Bay and Hawksnest. For you i think that the champagne catamaran sail-away to St. John would be a great choice, most of the cruise lines and some independants offer this type of excursion
