A friend off mine just retuned from an Eastern Caribbean cruise the other day.I asked him what the weather was like and he said it was windy most of the time.I was wondering is this the norm for the Caribbean and is their a diffrence in the weather from the eastern and western Caribbean? My wife and I are planning a Western Caribbean cruise in April is this a good time of year to go or does it even make a diffrence? Everyone take care and have a good day.

I've been to the Western Caribbean in March. It was not all that windy, but it was nice and warm.

Very often in the Bahamian islands, the weather is like what South Florida is experiencing. Google islands to find out their rainy seasons, which might sway you, as to booking your cruise.

Wind, that's at Mother Nature's whim. In November 2010, we couldn"t leave the pier in Cozumel, due to the high winds, so we had to overnight.
But Aruba has the trade winds that bend the Divi Divi trees,a constant there.

So, pack, a travel umbrella case of rain, and hope the wind won't blow you away.
