Any cruises with an overnight stay in port?

I have only had one previous cruise, through Carnival to Western Caribbean. The ports of call were Key West and Cozumel. The only complaint we had was, we were not able to have a stay overnight at these ports. We are interested in a cruise line that offers a stop overnight in a port of call so we could see more of the nightlife instead of leaving port at 4:00pm. Is there a cruise line that provides something like this? Also, what cruise lines offer an alcohol beverage package. Thanks!

Other than taking a Bermuda cruise, I don't know of any major cruiseline that does an over night in any port. I am thinking the cost of staying in port may be just too high and they usually have a schedule to make the next island/port. Some cruisers visit a port they fall in love with, and will take a land trip just to that island, I know I have done that...

You will have to go to the cruiseline's web sites and see who offers packages, most all have soda packages and some do have alcholic ones as well. Something to check out.

Wind Star yatchs have some itineraries out of St. Martin that have overnight stays in some of the BVI ports. I don't know if they dock there so you can easily come and go or whether they just drop anchor in some beautiful cove.

The major cruise lines rarely do overnight stops in the Caribbean. Some smaller cruise lines like Oceania and some of the luxury lines like Seabourn occasionally will have an overnight. The major cruise lines lose a lot of onboard revenue if they stay in port overnight. The shops and casino are closed and there aren't too many night time shore excursions.

Celebrity has a drink package and Carnival is "testing" one on select ships and itineraries.

Almost all of the cruise lines have in cabin bar setup where you can pre-purchase bottles of liquor and have them waiting for you in your cabin. The prices range anywhere from $40/bottle to over $100/bottle, depending on the cruise line and the type of liquor.

Many cruise lines do have overnights on their European, South American and Asian itineraries.
