I have read that some cruiselines offer sushi bars or have sushi in alternative dining rooms. Does anyone know if Carnival offers sushi and if so, do you know if Sensation has ever had sushi choices? Oh yea, and is it good or so-so??
thanks...

I'll tell you one thing, there is another line that is known for having sushi because they made a big deal out of it... well I went and saw it and I could only say "so what?" It wasn't very authentic as it was actually the same ingredients the ship typically has on board anyway, not the really good types of sushi such as octopus or tuna. They had California rolls, and shrimp, and smoked salmon as if they had scooped the ingredients right up from the buffet and rolled them up in rice - yawn. Don't expect great sushi anywhere except for Crystal which is owned by a Japanese company and has a Japanese alternative dining restaurant on board - that is "to die for."
Well, I am not going on Carnival to find new and exciting gourmet food, I could do that at home. I am going to have my first cruise and just relax and have fun. If I see an chintzy sushi like what you described, I will steer very clear. Thanks for the reply.
we were on Paradise last year, they had a sushi bar, tucked away in a corner on the same deck as the casino, it was opened limited hours, 5-8. If I hadn't toured the ship prior to sailing, we probably wound never have known it was there.
The best thing to do, is once you are on board, as about a sushi bar.
Paul, I hate to disagree with you here, but last year (June-July) on my back to back on Paradise there was sushi available every evening on Promenade Deck starting around 5:00p. Last month sushi was available on the Triumph during lunchtime in the dining room.
I will be on Paradise again next week and will see if this has changed.
