Default Kids and Dinning Rooms

We are cruising next week with our 8y.o. and 5y.o sons. I see that shorts are not allowed in the dinning rooms. Does this include children. They have some very nice dressy church outfits that are shorts that they would be more comfortable in. Thought I'd check and see what folks that have traveled with kids have experienced. Thanks

Hi \I'm sure dress shorts that are acceptable at church will be fine at dinner. They are trying to avoid adults showing up in everyday shorts for the obvious reasons.
Besides I've never seen them turn someone away at dinner..most people wear nice
dockers and a polo shirt most nights and dress up on formal nights.

Jessica,
Your sons will be VERY appropriately attired in "nice" shorts. (As long as they will be warm enough? Some of the dining rooms do get quite chilly.)
Have a great cruise, and come back & tell us about it!

Jessica, my wife and I recently sailed on the Destiny. Our daughter was 3 at the time, and "dress" shorts are fine for young children. You will love the service, and we had a great experience with our head waiter, Damir. He took our daughter each evening for about half the dinner time and introduced her to the dining room! Be prepared to be pampered! Have fun!
