Is buying Diamonds in Cozumel cheap? or should I say cheaper than the US? I am going there aboard the Imagination and am looking to purchase a loose diamond. If not Cozumel, Where in the Carribean would I find a bargain for a Diamond?

We just returned from the western caribbean and Cozumel IS the place to buy diamonds. (Jamaica has good deals on watches, and Grand Cayman has black coral/gold jewelry). The ship will recommend certain stores, and I think it is best to stick with those because they offer a guarantee on what you buy. I bought a pair of diamond studs earrings from a place called Diamond Creations. Just be sure you know what you are looking for and get an idea of US prices before you go. You can talk them down off the price A LOT, and of course there is no tax. Have fun!
