We always use passports as it still is the best form of ID but you can still take your BC and picture ID, the BC must have a raised seal, and I`m not sure what they do re: women who are travelling on their married name ie, not the same name as their BC, invest in a passport, they are $65 and last 10 years, happy cruising, jean

I have to agree with Jean, a passport is the best ID you can take and a good investment if you plan more cruises in the future. You can still cruise with a picture drivers license and your origional birth certificate. I did read something that, that may change in the future.
My TA told me that as of Jan. 16th you need a passport to go to Mexico. Also, a passport is easier to carry that your birthcertificate and driver's license and saves a lot of problems. Customs and cruise employees ask less questions if you have a passport.
