Snorkel Equipment
When you take a shore excursion for snorkeling, or rent snorkel equipment off the ship does it always include the fins, or just the mask and snorkel? How about the life vests?

Re: Snorkel Equipment
Hi Libby,
Yes, when you book a snorkel excersion through the cruiseline, you do get the mask, fins, snorkel, and vest if you want one. I always use one, many times you forget the direction you're going and end up "out there", its great to have the vest and be able to rest. Some you can adjust how much air you want in them.

BTW, what ship are you cruising on?

Re: Snorkel Equipment
We are going on the Victory, April 8th. I think the waters should be warm enough to snorkel by then. It will be the kids first time (Ages 7 and 9)

Re: Snorkel Equipment
Hi Libby,
Yes, the water will be fine to snorkel in and I agree the kids will love it.

Re: Snorkel Equipment
I am trying to decide if I should invest in my own equipment or rent. How much does it cost, roughly?

Re: Snorkel Equipment
Hi Kim,
You can get the snorkel, mask and fins for around $50 at your local sprots store, thats what we did and it has paid off. I'd say if you plan on cruising or snorkeling again in the future, you would be best just to buy the equipment, happy sailing.
