Enjoyed having John as the CD on 3 cruises.
They were Nov 18, 1995 on the Imagination. Spoke with him after a couple
got married while in Caymen. And he gave me a kiss & hug too
Then on April 20, 1997 on the Destiny. Will always remember the skit
"Mary, Mary Help Me, Help Me".
Finally on the Triumph out of New York on Sept 28, 2999. Have a photo
of John with our table-mates.
I hope he re-joins Carnival again. He was THE best CD
Sailed with John on the Destiny, have been on 24 cruises and he is the only cruise director I remember his name. I agree with Pat, his Mary, Mary skit has to be the funniest I have ever seen. He certainly gets my vote for best CD!!!!
Had John as a C.D. on our first Destiny cruise. He is the best we have ever had! This guy has such a talent. What a great entertainer. Kinda like but better than a Jay Leno of cruise directors. Fantastic!

John IS back with Carnival, and we're delighted John has agreed to host a SPECIAL CruiseMates Group Cruise on the Triumph in the fall. The details should be posted soon!
I agree he's, without question, the most fun CD to cruise with! And we're honored that he's agreed to promote this cruise with CruiseMates.
We're hoping we'll get a good number of "John Heald Alumni" to come along. It would be GREAT to have a ship full of his fans who know the punch lines <VBG>
It'll be a wonderful way to honor a terrific Cruise Director.
Had John as CD on two cruises and had a BALL. He really IS the BEST! Do you suppose there's any way of finding out what ship he's on now? We enjoyed him so much that we'd book a cruise around his schedule (that fall cruise may be tough for us) By the way....if you get to see him do the Mary Mary skit...you'd better be wearing Depends....it's hilarious!
We were lucky enough to sail on our 1st cruise with John Heald on the Imagination 8/30/97. Three things make that cruise memorable:
1) our 1st and everyone knows the excitement of that!
2) John and the entertainment staff were the best of any cruise to date - no other cruise has come close
3) We will always know where we were when we heard the horrible news about Princess Diana
Wish I could sail on the group cruise in September because it will be a blast!
Cruised with John on the Destiny in 98,he was OUTSTANDING!!!!! My wife & I are booked on the Carnival Paradise the same week of the "Test Your Sanity Cruise",but when we learned of this special group cruise we have canceled the Paradise & are now booked on the Triumph. Can't wait for his "bedtime story"!!
